Missions
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Matthew 28:19
It is in the teachings of Jesus that we find the motivation for giving and sharing. We reflect Christ's love by caring for our neighbors near and far who suffer from poverty, disaster, hunger, and injustice. Longenecker Evangelical Anabaptist Fellowship is a partner of Mennonite Mission Network and Mennonite Central Committee (MCC).
Mongolia:
-
We have various ways of raising funds to help our missionaries serving in far away Mongolia.
Nicaragua:
-
We support two missionary families in Nicaragua, as well as partner with the CFCI Nicaragua team through prayer, communicating, and sending and receiving delegates.
Other Missions:
-
From January through July we participate in My Coins Count. We collect "pocket change" and fill a watering can. Funds are combined with other participating churches in August and this money is used to provide clean drinking water for poor countries.
-
Any of our adults can volunteer once a month at the Save and Serve Thrift Store in Millersburg, OH. We need two people on the designated day to check out and bag merchandise. All goods are donated by the community and sorted by volunteers. Some of our people also volunteer at MCC Connections Thrift Shop in Kidron, OH.
-
When we all work together, we are helping people in many countries around the world through MCC.
